What's the difference between a car wash and an exterior detail?
A car wash removes surface dirt. An exterior detail goes much further, decontaminating the paint, deep cleaning the wheels and trim, and finishing with a protective wax. It’s the difference between rinsing your vehicle and actually caring for it.
How often should I get an exterior detail?
For most vehicles, every 3 to 4 months keeps the paint clean and protected year-round. If your car sits outside or sees heavy daily driving, more frequent details help prevent buildup and long-term paint damage.
Will an exterior detail remove scratches?
An exterior detail removes contaminants and restores shine, but it doesn’t remove scratches. For swirl marks and scratch removal, you’d want our polish add-on or a full paint correction, and we’re happy to recommend the right option for your paint.
What does the clay bar treatment do?
Over time, contaminants like industrial fallout, tree sap, and road grime bond to your paint, and washing alone can’t remove them. A clay bar pulls those embedded contaminants out, leaving the surface smooth as glass and ready for protection.
Do you need water or electricity at my location?
No. Our mobile setup is fully self-contained with its own water and power. All we need is access to your vehicle, at your home, office, or anywhere across Oakland and the Bay Area.
